  • When you choose your wedding photographer, remember you’re investing in memories, not just hiring a service.

So choose a photographer whose style fits your personal vision of the wedding day.

Wedding photography these days falls into three main styles, traditional coverage, a photo journalistic approach, or what has been coined illustrative wedding photography.

Traditional wedding photography has been around for a long time, this style incorporates a selection of carefully posed key moments such as; the rings, the kiss, cutting the cake, family shots and so on.

Photojournalism is a much more contemporary approach to wedding photography. Here the wedding photographer acts more as a fly on the wall, capturing the moments of the wedding as they happen, and letting the wedding flow without interuption.

    Illustrative Wedding Photography

This is my style of wedding photography! Illustrative wedding photography is based on the best of both traditional photography and a journalistic approach.

While I attempt to allow the day to flow as you wish, I am not afraid to step in on occasion to help you get the shot that you want, or even the one you didn’t know you did.

As the day progresses I might ask you to move to a more favourable location for lighting while still letting you carry on putting on makeup, buckling your shoe or having a drink to calm the nerves.

Simply put, we capture all the love, laughter, family and friends in the best light and location.
